PLEASE CRITIQUE At first i was gonna make the title " circus animals" since anna is the ring master.... Mainly, the title "Huggable Pals" is just something weird fffffffdslkfja;lfj! anyways, Sony studios though Rika Blue was the moste interesting character they've seen from a 13 year old ( boy ain't that original? ) So im showing them her little friends and her.... yup.... chibi people and a bear rika. I got the dress idea from a game called Mabinogi that i recently play. ( my game name is Dizzykins.) as well as the boots. I want rika as a plushie or a key chain ;w; in order from left to right fiji the pikachu- rika the black and pink panda bear- sassan the puppy- sabby the devious kitty- tate the bat- anna the ring master- brian the tiger- jj the lovable rabbit- Comments

-- Any one can make a deference but only a few go for it. to have Hope and faith in how you feel, its the only way to know its real. ~Gallade-fans ~LoZ-UnknownOrigins Very cute, tis what I say. I like the coloring and neat lineart.
--CRITIQUE-- Personally I find it incredible annoying if in these kind of drawwing all my characters face thesame 3/4 direction. But what I dislike most about this picture are the hard background colors. It sucks away the impact of the characters themselves making them less astonishing. --/CRITIQUE-- -- "Reality means little in the concept of thinking Multiple worlds; hundreds of times bigger then this one, As long as I can put black on white then I can do Everything" ~Sieger Vink |

Lineart: Though I can see you're making an effort to make the lineart smoother and cleaner, it's still too messy! Just wondering, do you ever use the pen tool? I'm not suggesting you should ditch your tablet, but there's no harm in using the pen tool sometimes. A lot of artists use their tablets for some parts of the lineart, and the pen tool for others.
Design: Awesome design! My favorite aspect of your art has always been the unique, creative designs you come up with, and this piece is definitely no exception. The other designs aren't quite as good (I don't really like some of the colors you picked out for the other characters), but since RikaBlue seems to be the focus of this piece, it's not a big deal.
Coloring/shading: As with the lineart, I think you should make your shading a bit cleaner. The light source is not really defined and the overall shading is kind of random. I think you've applied the right amount of shading, just not in all the right places. I think you need to search for reference pictures and study how various fabric folds before you start shading. The shading on Rika's hair, however, looks really nice! I can see that you've put more work into shading the hair, and the results look good.
Rika's eyes are colored pretty well, but they seem kind of flat. I would suggest using the dodge tool underneath the shine of the eyes, and to make the circle in the purple eye wider. I would also suggest to remove the lines on the sides of the eyes.
Last thing for this section: I really like the ribbon! Well done!
Anatomy: Overall, I'd say she has accurate proportions for an young anime girl, but there are a few things bugging me. The legs and feet seemed to be curved in too inward; it just looks unnatural and unrealistic. Even though it's an anatomically possible position, it looks awfully uncomfortable. Her left arm looks too thin, and the part of the arm where the bones connect (or something like that - I'm not too great at science, but hopefully you'll know which part I mean) is too pointy. My advice is to open up an anatomy book and start working on bone and muscle studies, as well as drawing people from life.
The biggest issue, for me, is the eyes. Though the eyes of all the other characters seem proportioned fine, RikaBlue aren't. Even though she's turning her head slightly, it just doesn't make sense for one of her eyes to be so much bigger than the other. The smaller eye's shape is okay, but the shape of the bigger eye bugs me, since it looks rectangular.
Background: I think the background colors are too bold. I didn't really notice this until I looked at the picture longer, but they're a bit distracting. I think if you lowered the opacity of the background it would look better, or just by using softer colors.
You should start resizing your images before you submit them. All you have to do is go to Image > Image Size, and then put the setting on "Percent" and "Bilinear" and set it to 25. I know dA automatically resizes it, but that lowers the quality of the image.
I can't think of much else to say... Well, I hope this gargantuan, most likely long-winded critique helps you!
